SUMMARY

Regent Capital has access to a portfolio of feature films for which we provide investment on a carefully selected basis.

During 2005 and 2006 Regent Capital provided investment for 5 films. The investors and Regent Capital worked directly with the film producers and as a prerequisite all the films chosen had commercial potential. They have all obtained or have been offered American and international distribution deals and The Wind That Shakes The Barley was the winner of the Palme D'or at Cannes in 2006 – the first British winner in ten years.

Regent Capital has created a new film investment opportunity with attractive financial and tax leverage known as The CINEMA Companies. It combines the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) with the new government film tax credit, worth up to 20% of the UK qualifying budget of each film.

Each CINEMA Company provides a small group of professional customers, usually up to 40, with an investment across a portfolio of two to five films, each with budgets of up to £2m, or higher where the commercial prospects are exceptional. On a typical film, 70% of the financing comes from customary film industry sources. The Cinema Company invests the remaining 30% and receives 100% of the government film tax credit. This results in an increased potential for profits and a lower downside risk to the investor.

Potential Investors should check with their professional advisors as to the suitability of any investments and the tax consequences for their personal situation. The interpretation and application of tax regulations can change and the most up to date position must be checked when considering the appropriateness of any investment.
